Blank Slate

When I was in Washington, D.C., my hotel room overlooked an office building. While I was unpacking, I noticed eight completely empty rooms with the lights on. It looked very stark and I wasn't sure what to think.

Not 6 hours later I returned to my room and voila! Eight perfect offices ready for business. From my vantage point, it looked more like an architect's scale model. A diorama with cardboard cutouts of men in business suits.

Then I started to think about the people who would work here tomorrow. Were they excited? Nervous? Wherever you work, I hope that the blank slate of this office reminds you of the thrill of "getting the job" and inspires you to be especially productive today.

Remember, inspiration is everywhere.
