You heard it here first...the motif this Spring is crowns. They are gracing items all across the design world right now.You will see them on totes, pillows, as iron-on designs, and even on paper placemats. You wouldn't want a crown on everything, but choosing this regal icon for just one item in your home would be darling.
Where's my crown? I have a wire one on my living room table. It was hand-wrought by an artist I know and the jewel on top is a tiny brown nest holding 2 faux robin's eggs. I just love it.
Oh, this crown? It is on the gated entrance to an estate in Dijon, France.

Well Anne, "this crown" is really quite lovely. I note the initials C and L in the centre. No doubt there is some long history behind that.
Your table crown sounds lovely too. Somehow I don't think I'll be buying any pillows with crowns on them, or placemats for that matter. I might leave that to the design-conscious. Unfortunately, my higgledy-piggledy collection of things don't really match but there is so much of it that I don't think it matters much any more in my house. I'm just dying for some storage space to put most of it away, out of reach of dust!
