My alma mater, Michigan State University, is in the Final Four basketball championships this year! And by a stroke of luck, the championship playoffs are being held in Detroit, Michigan. Thousands of Spartans crowded Somerset Mall for the largest pep rally I have ever seen. The fans sporting our team colors (green & white) cheered, the coach thanked the crowd while the drum beat of our fight song thrummed through the open space - it was incredible. The crowd was given hot dogs and vanilla (white) Haagen Dazs ice cream with green sprinkles and were rewarded with an appearance by the entire basketball team onstage. As a series watched on television, these fans have been cheering from their living rooms for weeks.
Now imagine being those college players, finally able to hear the cheers.

Haagen Dazs icecream was popular here a few years ago but I haven't seen it around much lately. Congrats to your Uni b/ball team. I hope they win the final for you.
Somerset Mall looks to be a nice place to shop.
