This morning reminds me of a quiet morning on the Atlantic years ago. A small group of women had moved their yoga class to this beach. I think it was a group of friends who had traveled to Florida to have a girls getaway. They had the entire stretch of beach to themselves and from my balcony I could see them making a memory.

When the Atlantic Looks Endless

Kiteboarder: He Make It Look So Easy
This kiteboarder I photographed on the Atlantic makes it look so easy. His stance could just as easily be superimposed into a scene where he is mowing the lawn or cooking eggs! How does he do it?
The principle I am illustrating is that when you are doing what you love, everything just seems right. No strain; no worry; just another day at the beach.
May you find yourself doing what you love this weekend and may you notice how relaxed you feel.

Marshmallow Fluff can be made into Marshmallow Sauce
The clouds look like marshmallow fluff! I was recently given an ice cream sundae tip that I must pass along. Did you know that you can make "marshmallow sauce" for ice cream by adding a bit of warm water to Marshmallow Fluff and stirring with a fork?
My aunt's sister-in-law passed this tip along one day when we were reminiscing about going to Sanders' ice cream shoppe for chocolate sundaes with marshmallow sauce - my mom's favorite. Now we can have a marshmallow sundae at home with this easy tip. Thanks, Marty!

Bird's Eye View: Pelicans do a Fly By
What luck! I was trying to focus my zoom camera lens on a yacht being chased by a helicopter (my imagination said it was a big drug bust; it's more likely that I was watching a photo shoot for Yachting World magazine), when a group of pelicans flew right by the condo balcony! I have tried for years to get a good picture of them flying past and today was the day. This is my bird's eye view.

Kiteboarding in Florida
And then there are days on the ocean that are very exciting! A kiteboarder spent most of one afternoon living it up right in front of our condo complex.
I could see people watching him from their balconies and from the beach. Kiteboarding is becoming more and more popular in Florida and as a spectator, I can confirm that it is really fun to watch. "Look at him go!" was the feeling we all had as we watched.
Can you feel the ocean breeze?

Staring at the Ocean
Lost in thought? It's easy to be mesmerized by the expansiveness of the ocean. I could show you a beautiful picture of the Atlantic from every day of my trip. Some days it was bright blue, other days looked like a paint palette of gray and then some days had me running for my camera.
On this promising morning, the water, clouds, sun and sky seemed more like an "inspirational poster" than a view from a real life. Sometimes "delight" is getting lost in thought.

Life Guard
Can you see the silhouette of the lifeguard holding up binoculars in the lifeguard station? It's a Bay Watch moment. I didn't realize that these little buildings existed, but what a great idea. The lifeguards can stay out of the sun and focused on work - protecting their flock.
I took this photo along the shoreline in Palm Beach, Florida - what a gorgeous day! The sunbathers were happy and most seem to be heeding the life guard's yellow flag, meaning moderate risk for large waves and rip tides. Ahhh...life on the shore.

Sand and Surf
Today was a gorgeous day and I spent the afternoon sitting in a beach chair at the edge of the surf. What could be more "delightful" than staring out at the ocean while the waves wash over my toes?
Although my fellow sun worshipers thought I looked odd holding my camera perfectly still off to the side of my beach chair for minutes on end, I got the result I needed. Just look! This is what I wanted to show you.
Three perfect shells about to be drenched in the surf.
