The clouds look like marshmallow fluff! I was recently given an ice cream sundae tip that I must pass along. Did you know that you can make "marshmallow sauce" for ice cream by adding a bit of warm water to Marshmallow Fluff and stirring with a fork?
My aunt's sister-in-law passed this tip along one day when we were reminiscing about going to Sanders' ice cream shoppe for chocolate sundaes with marshmallow sauce - my mom's favorite. Now we can have a marshmallow sundae at home with this easy tip. Thanks, Marty!

Marshmallow Snowstorm: A Christmas Vignette
I am enjoying a quiet snowy morning. There are snow flurries outside and a considerable marshmallow snowstorm has come to my little village indoors. Can you see the skaters on my mirror pond? They are hoping for a big mug of cocoa this afternoon. Merry Christmas!

Pastel Stripe Marshmallows
Target has done it again! Bringing limited edition or otherwise hard to find items to their store shelves.
Do you remember when I wrote pastel marshmallows by Rita Farhi? Well I found these lookalike pastel stripe marshmallows at Target in the specialty candy section! Not everyone has the resources to order specialty candy from Europe, so here is a readily available option on this side of the Atlantic.

Homemade Marshmallows
Did these homemade marshmallows need to become S'more Bites? Of course not, they are absolutely delicious on their own. But I couldn't resist. Homemade marshmallows have been on my radar for a while now. I ate some delicious raspberry marshmallows at Fortnum & Mason in London. Then I started noticing the Barefoot Contessa make-your-own marshmallow box mix (in specialty grocery stores) and it peaked my interest.
Then, gloriously, my sister-in-law sent me Ina Garten's Barefoot Contessa Family Style: Easy Ideas and Recipes That Make Everyone Feel Like Family
I followed Ina Garten's recipe exactly and they came out like a dream. Then, to make a good thing better, I toasted my little marshmallow squares with a Culinary Torch (8.8 ounce), dipped them in melted Hershey chocolate and then coated them in graham cracker crumbs to make S'more Bites.
Yum. Yum. Yum.

Rita Farhi Marshmallow Rolls
I am drawn to things that are Beautiful and Interesting at the same time. So when I saw a clear box of "Marshmallow Rolls" by Rita Farhi, I stopped in my tracks. What could be more wonderful in a mug of White Hot Chocolate? What kind of genius decided to make marshmallows in multi-circle pastel rolls?
Be on the lookout for Rita Farhi marshmallows and sweets in candy shops & confectioneries near you.
What am I going to do with them? I think I'll make a sugar cube house with a marshmallow roof line for Christmas next year. Love it!
