Travels With Flowers

You should know that my Summer name is Travels with Flowers. Every time I drive to the cottage for the weekend, I take along a bucket full of whatever is blooming in my garden. How could I not? Once I arrive, I arrange them in bouquets all over the house. And what was in my car on the way home? Spectacular German Bearded iris in deep blue and soft periwinkle. I cut them myself in the fields of a local iris farm. Needless to say, it was a wonderful weekend.

I adore bearded iris. I had only one flower last year as we were in a severe drought but I live forever in hope!
