Finding Delight

A friend told me that after reading my book, Moments of Delight, she had an "Aha!" moment at the grocery store.

She walked into the produce section, saw the tower of lemons and realized that it was beautiful.

She said to herself, "That's delight!" She suddenly "saw" the beauty of lemons and attributed it to my book and philosophy. That is music to my ears.

Yes! (with closed fist raised in the air, punching the sky). Your philosophy is just magic Anne and I can understand your "delight" in hearing this.
Today I spent hours removing a climbing fig vine from the outside wall of the courtyard. It was a tough job but necessary as the vine was nestling into the mortar cracks and would eventually have damaged the wall. After it was done and I was faced with the bare wall, although I missed the green, I could also appreciate the purity of the brickwork (it's an impressive wall!) I spent several minutes there, just admiring it.
