A Study in Blue
I couldn't believe my eyes - a cornflower blue row boat set against the perfect sand, sea and sky. Did a young couple row here for a picnic? Has an artist come to paint? Let your imagination wander this study in blue.
Such a clear day that I can see the headland beyond. It's a beautiful scene. Was the water warm? I think that the boat belongs to a young man and he is having a picnic with his fiance on a blanket, just out of sight!
The water is cool to cold in Lake Michigan - it is wonderful once you "get used to" it. The land you see in the distance is an island called South Manitou (Man-eh-too).
