Sort & Share

Is your armoire overflowing? As I sort and organize for the holidays (I really turn the house upside-down with my Christmas decorating), I have started to accumulate a pile for donation. There are many ways to put resources back to the community and thought you might be interested in what I have found in the magazines. Domino magazine spotlights these organizations for shoes, clothing and media donations. Real Simple magazine has a long list of charities that could use old shoes, eyeglasses, even business suits. This week I am sorting and sharing.

I used to do this every year too Anne and I admit that in the last few years I've tended to hang on to far too much; perhaps because I'm now on an invalid pension instead of earning a high income so my clothes are less frequently replaced. I also find that being at home so much, I don't need the elaborate work suits that I once did. Nevertheless, you have spurred me to action and I just might make a trip to the donation bin later on today.

I am so glad. I try to look at the whole process through someone else's eyes. I think to myself, "Ohhh...someone would love to have this!"

Good Morning! What a sweet blog! I am a giver too! I am collecting Large Print Bibles for the Rescue Mission and I regularly donate clothing and other items, since I am a buyer and a shopper. I had to make a deal with God, if I bring shoes in...shoes have to go out! It is tough to keep but a deal is a deal!! LOL
One of the nicest things we can do is be nice to God's other children!
God Bless you!!
