Isn't this a neat collection? My parents were lucky enough to attend the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid and the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary - jealous! Did you know that "pin collecting" is a major passion for attendees & athletes? They buy, trade and receive pins throughout the Olympic Village, often wearing them on their hats with pride. My favorite pins are of "Roni" Raccoon, the mascot for the 1980 Winter Olympics - shown here in a bobsled, on a luge, speed skating and cross-country skiing.
