Homemade Cookies

No, my kitchen isn't quite this antique (though I'd love to have an enamel-top baking table...), but I thought I would use this photograph to represent the ritual of baking cookies from scratch.

A friend broker her arm over the weekend (darn that ice!) and I am doing some baking in hopes that oatmeal chocolate chips cookies are, in fact, medicinal. 
Have you ever made the recipe from the inside lid of the Quaker tub?  I always skip the cinnamon and use chocolate chips in place of raisins and they always turn out delish!
